Do my Digital Art pieces become paintings?

During the final stage of my painting process, I examine the canvas with an illuminated magnifying glass. When a digital work is finished, if it’s clear, it will take 3-6 months to paint due to the level of detail; it remains digital art and is never recreated as a painting.
