While visiting the Shaolin Temple in China in 2010, I photographed a large, reclining Buddha that intrigued me. I spent years trying to find a way to make it work with my style. Finally, I came across graffiti on a building in Marion, Indiana. Combining photos of the reclining Buddha with the graffiti was the creative inspiration I needed. Some concepts come together for me in a matter of hours; others take years! This is one of those slow cookers.

The Urban Views Collection is inspired by the cities I have traveled to.
