About: Peru, Indiana, is known for its connections to the circus. I noticed when walking through the downtown area last summer that Peru has a disproportionate number of barbershops and beauty salons for the size of the community. I was in town late Saturday morning, and these shops were all busy. I guess that means the people of Peru take their hair care pretty seriously (I should take some notes)!
